The staff at City Pets is wonderful and have cared for two of our dogs up to this point. They are thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I really appreciate how easy it is to communicate with them through phone, text, and email. I am especially thankful for how patient they are with answering random questions or looking at pictures to see if I’m being a nervous dog mom or if my concerns are actually worth an office visit. Also, the Pet Savings Account option is quite helpful for managing out of pocket costs throughout the year.

I’ve been bringing my dogs to City Pets for the five years that I have lived in the area. They have always provided exceptional care. When my senior dog passed away, they sent a card signed by all of the staff. It meant so much while I was grieving. They have worked to ensure my anxious dog is comfortable for appointments and advised me on different pre-appointment medications to help reduce her stress. She recently had a dental cleaning with extractions, and I was nervous about her being scared coming out of anesthesia. They let me sit with her for over an hour in an exam room as she recovered until it was safe for her to go home. The staff is always friendly and easy to communicate with. I can’t recommend them enough.

If you’re like me and comb reviews, I can’t say enough amazing things about my first visit. My gut told me after reading reviews that this is a good fit but there were a handful of really bad reviews on here and especially on yelp that made me a little nervous. After my visit, I’m convinced those bad reviews were people that don’t read instructions/follow directions. Because my experience didn’t align with any bad reviews you might be seeing. So here’s my honest take on my experience!

Atmosphere - all the staff was so kind, gentle, and sweet to my dog! My dog gets really nervous at the vet and all of their calm and gentle demeanors put her right at ease. They also have bandanas with something sprayed on it that can promote relaxation, I included a picture of the sign with more info. I also love that it’s a converted house. There’s not a fluorescent light in sight…all of the lighting was so warm and welcoming instead of cold and harsh like a lot of vet clinics.

Care - Dr. Tan was so patient and took the time to understand my dog’s history to ensure we weren’t missing anything! She put a comprehensive treatment plan together for everything we talked about, included pricing, and helped me prioritize them so I could budget things out. Once we got through the appt, I was shown all of the pricing breakdown and they were extremely transparent about everything, including how their online pharmacy works. Dr. Tan was also great with administering vaccines and also needed to take a sample of a growth on her belly and did so quickly and with the utmost care to ensure Hope wasn’t stressed.

Thank you Dr. Tan and team for treating Hope with phenomenal care today. I’m so happy I chose this clinic, and feel that my dog is going to get phenomenal care here.

The most personable vet clinic I’ve experienced in my 12 years of being a dog mom. Our dogs have been through a lot this past year- with everything from an at-home euthanasia to a double ear infection to general wellness checkups and vaccines with a hyper-anxious dog. Throughout it all Dr. Tan and her team have offered the best possible and most tender care, both to me and my dogs. They are a gem of an establishment in North Nashville!

Dr. Evans is the best in Nashville. We moved here from out of state and losing our vet was one of the hardest parts. We struggled for years to find a vet that had a holistic, east meets west approach, with a boutique feel and emotional investment from the team who genuinely cares and deeply gets to know your animal. I have been impressed every day with Dr. Evans and her team and how they go above and BEYOND to ensure your animal is cared for, thriving and living his or her best life. Dr. Evans is an incredible human being on top of being a MASTERFUL vet, and I just feel so so so so lucky we found her.
